NASHVILLE – A Nebraska truck driver was reportedly found dead in his truck Monday night in the parking area of a Nashville, Illinois truck stop.

According to Washington County Coroner Mark Styninger, at 7:25 p.m. Monday, his office was dispatched to the truck parking area of the Little Nashville Truck Stop.

Nashville Police were called to the truck stop to perform a welfare check on a 45-year-old Nebraska truck driver who had not moved his truck in four days.

Coroner Styninger pronounced Dustin A. Russel dead at 7:39 p.m. Russell was found in the sleeper compartment of his truck and appears to have suffered a cardiac event.

Other agencies assisting at the scene were the Washington County Ambulance Service and Nashville Fire Department which assisted the coroner with removing the subject from the truck.
