CARBONDALE – A Carbondale man is facing gun and other charges following a traffic stop in the 500 block of New Era Road early Sunday morning.

According to Carbondale Police, a Carbondale officer stopped the vehicle and knew the driver had a suspended driver’s license.

The driver, 26-year-old Keishawn T. Wright of Carbondale, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  

During the course of the investigation, a loaded firearm was recovered from the vehicle.  Wright was also charged with Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and lodged in the Jackson County Jail.  

Carbondale Police say their investigation is active and ongoing.
