FAIRFIELD – A 24-year-old Fairfield man was released from the Wayne County Jail this week after posting $3,500 bail across three separate felony cases, one of which accuses him of stabbing a person and then leaving them on the side of the road.

According to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Ace Haygood is charged in that case with Class 3 felony aggravated battery.

Haygood is accused of stabbing a 19-year-old victim in the back with what appears to have been a screwdriver, striking the person in the head with the screwdriver, and then leaving them on the side of the road where he attempted to run them over with his vehicle.

He’s next scheduled to appear in court June 1 in all three cases.
