BENTON – A Macedonia woman was arrested Sunday night on several charges following a possible road rage incident that came to rest in the 200 block of North Commercial Street in Benton.

Benton Police Chief Chris Funkhouser tell us around 8:50 p.m., officers located a 2013 Lincoln MKS that was involved in the accident. Officers identified the driver as 34-year-old Alexandria C. Pauls of Macedonia.

Through further investigation Pauls was arrested for DUI. During the arrest Pauls headbutted an officer and resisted arrest. During the struggle a Benton Police car was damaged.

Pauls was charged with Aggravated Battery, Resisting a Peace Officer, Endangering the Life or Health of a Child, and Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property.

Pauls was taken to the Franklin County Jail for processing.
