MT. VERNON (WMIX) – The Mt. Vernon City Council will meet Tuesday night for their regular monthly meeting that was pushed forward one day due to the Presidents’ Day holiday.
During the meeting the council will address numerous agenda items including a resolution approving the increase of water rates in the villages of Woodlawn, Belle Rive, Bluford, and Waltonville, as well as the Dix-Kell Water Commission, and Northeast Water Company.
The council will also hear resolutions calling for the rezoning of agriculture property Illinois Highway 37, and at 9391 East Illinois Highway 15.
These items and others will be addressed at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 1100 Main St. in Mt. Vernon.
