MARION – Marion High School has launched a community-driven campaign, “Stack the Semi,” to collect and deliver much-needed supplies to victims of Hurricane Helene.
Students and the community are being asked to donate essential items and support those in need.
Items needed include:
– Food (Non-Perishable): Canned goods (with pull-tabs), peanut butter, bottled water, sports drinks, fruit cups, and snacks.
– Cleaning Supplies: Bleach, disinfectants, mops, brooms, and trash bags.
– Baby Supplies: Diapers, formula, wipes, and baby food.
– Hygiene Kits: Toothbrushes, soap, razors, shampoo, deodorant, and hand sanitizer.
– Medical Supplies: Band-aids, non-prescription drugs, disinfectant wipes, and sunscreen.
– Bedding/Linens: Blankets, towels, sleeping bags, and cots.
– Clothing: Socks and underwear (all sizes).
– Pet Supplies: Dry and canned food for pets.
You can drop off donations during open hours now through Sunday, Oct. 20, at Marion High School, Oasis Home Center, Black Diamond Harley-Davidson, Oasis Powersports, Second Baptist Church, Marion City Hall and Riley’s Smokehouse.
A truck will also be set up taking donations Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Black Diamond Harley-Davidson and on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the west lot at Marion High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
