BENTON – An Ewing man has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary and theft that happened in rural Franklin County.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon, the sheriff’s office received the residential burglary report Tuesday.

The victim reported that a number of firearms and other household items had been stolen. A deputy was assigned the case and responded.

After speaking with the victim, a suspect in the burglary/theft was developed. As a result of the investigation, 20-year-old Dillon R. Poe of Ewing, was placed under arrest and charged with Residential Burglary and Theft over $500. A number of stolen items have been recovered.

Poe is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail awaiting bond to be set by a judge.
